Année de création: 1957

The "North of Scotland" distillery has been founded in 1958 by George Christie, who would build the Speyside distillery in Kingussie some years later. The distillery was converted from the old Robert Knox's Forth Brewery, which was created in 1786, not far from the Cambus distillery.
The North of Scotland distillery has been created to produce malt whisky with altered Coffey stills, but after 2 years it was decided to produce only grain whisky.
After only a few years of production, the distillery was closed in 1980 and dismantled in 1993.

The remaing buildings were used as warehouses at the Cambus distillery. Cambus distillery is closed too, and is reconverted in a filling center and warehouse
